Quest for frozen yogurt

I'm still searching for the perfect frozen yogurt in Boston. You may remember my post about Forty Carrots. I've tried a couple of possible matches to this amazing yogurt flavor but still have not found the perfect one. Last week Michael and I went to dinner in Cambridge and stopped on the way home at BerryLine. I had hoped their "original" flavor would be a match to frogurt, unfortunately, it is a little too sweet. Today I tried the yogurt at Yo! Berry. I had hoped this would be the one but while it was closer to the tartness I have found only at Bloomingdales, the consistency was too icy and it wasn't really sour enough. So sad. The search continues.

Mallomar Season

Yes people, it's that time of year again, the season of Mallomars. Only sold between October and March these treats are best eaten frozen. My father says, put them in the car when it's 20 degrees or below and then eat them but I say the freezer works just as well. Get em while they last...if they sell them where you live. According to the NY Times 70% of mallomars are bought in NY (which leads me to believe that most are sold there). Let me know if you see them (or frogurt, see past entry) in Massachusetts.

It seems like I'm starting to get cravings and none of them are local...so sad.
